I’m from Mount Shasta, in Northern California. On my way to school, there was a corner where the mountain was hidden until you rounded it. Then suddenly it was right there, filling the view. The morning sun caught the snow in pink and purple, with an iridescence I still think about. It felt like the mountain was glowing.

That was how I started my mornings as a child. I’ve done many different things since, but that sense of wonder has stayed with me. I still notice it in unexpected places—even in the shimmer of Axel’s wings.

Today, I’m based in Oakland, creating financial education, websites, and stories with AI. My programs, including Money Flight School and The Financial Check-Up, are designed to help people make sense of money and feel more confident asking questions. My films and digital worlds give another part of my imagination room to wander.

I want the things I make to help people learn, feel something, and look a little closer. There’s still a bit of that turn around the corner in all of it.
